Cuddly Soft Moose

I had a special request for a gender-neutral baby gift for a couple who are waiting for the baby to be born to know what they have, and who also like the outdoors and country cabin living.

He’s so cuddly!

So we came up with this little guy. The inspiration came from – of course – Pinterest.

I found this great pack of chenille yarn in different shades of brown on Amazon and set to work designing the head and antlers for myself.

He’s so soft!

Because I needed him to be safe for baby, I went ahead and made these crochet eyes for him. They give him the cutest face!

I hope that he will be treasured for years to come 🥰

She’s a Lady

Time for another cute little lovey! This one is for my new Great Neice who will be born in the spring. I’ve been waiting and waiting for an excuse to make some super cute girly baby gifts, so I am ecstatic to present to you: Pinky, the White Kitten

She is just precious and is actually a small effigy of my own cat, Pinky. She is a fairy princess and so I felt that she should slumber on a lovely rainbow sherbet blanket.

No kitty is complete without little toe beans, so this little kitty has them as well.

The pattern is a riff off of this video tutorial with a few alterations of my own to make it more realistic. I added the back paws and the bow, and I made the front legs longer so she could hold her blankie.

Of course, the blanket itself is a small version of the round lotus blanket from Hooked by Robin which is my favorite lovey blanket pattern to work with. I think I went through 18 rows with this one.
