“Owl”-ways Looking Forward

For all those who supported my small crochet business dream in 2022, I am grateful to you. I hope to continue to grow this little seedling of a business in 2023.

I’ve completed my first project for 2023, and I’m glad to be able to share it with you!

Small and soft, this little owl reminds me to be studious and wise in the new year.

His pattern is found at Carmen Crochet and the yarn I used was a very fine velvet yarn that I found in a grab-bag of boutique yarns from a small craft store in downtown Nampa, Idaho.

That being said, any creations made by me with this particular yarn will be absolutely one of a kind!

Check my shop for availability!

Little Dachshund Puppers

Rip and Elsa

These little puppies were commissioned by one of my fellow volunteers here at the wildlife refuge I am currently working in. I didn’t have a pattern for them, so I made one up on the fly!

Rip

In spite of a lack of pattern, I still think they turned out just darling 🙂

Elsa

I will be writing up this pattern, so check back with me for updates! If you want a custom dachshund puppy for yourself, message me for details!

Did you know I’m super social?

You can find me on Facebook at About Yarn Time Shop

I am on Instagram, too @beckysaboutyarntime

And of course, you can always check out my Etsy for new and exciting crochet creations 🙂

A Purrmaid

I needed to make a unique gift for someone with a unique name that sounds a whole lot like “catfish”. This was the purrfect solution! A purrmaid. Ingenious! I already had this project pinned on my Pinterest “Crochet” board, because I wanted to make one eventually.

Isn’t she the cutest? Just like a kitten batting at her tail 😊

Hooked by Robin created this pattern and she offers both the free pattern AND links to super helpful video tutorials, as well. Robin walks you through this project from head to tail and everything in-between. I feel like this is a little more of an intermediate/advanced amigurumi project as it has some shaping techniques involved, but with the patterns and tutorials available, it is easy to master!

I am especially fond of the little paws!

I am so proud of this little creation and so glad that the recipient loved her as well. This little purrmaid was so much fun to make!
