A Little Boost of Serotonin

Long time no see, friends. I know I’ve been off the radar for a while. I’ve just been in a bit of a Crochet slump since I have so many ready-made pieces and nowhere to store any new ones until they sell.

A little something to boost my crochet energy

I decided to make a little something for a former student who recently shared the happy news that she is expecting a baby in the fall.

What’s better and a blankie?

Making this little elephant and this snuggly tiny blanket helped me over the crochet blues. I would love to get started making more things.

Perhaps I can squeeze more makes in somewhere.

Hey, maybe you can help! Hop on over to my shop to see if there is something you’d like to purchase 🙂

Both the elephant and blanket were free patterns that I found! Click the links to make them for yourself, if you’d like!

She’s a Lady

Time for another cute little lovey! This one is for my new Great Neice who will be born in the spring. I’ve been waiting and waiting for an excuse to make some super cute girly baby gifts, so I am ecstatic to present to you: Pinky, the White Kitten

She is just precious and is actually a small effigy of my own cat, Pinky. She is a fairy princess and so I felt that she should slumber on a lovely rainbow sherbet blanket.

No kitty is complete without little toe beans, so this little kitty has them as well.

The pattern is a riff off of this video tutorial with a few alterations of my own to make it more realistic. I added the back paws and the bow, and I made the front legs longer so she could hold her blankie.

Of course, the blanket itself is a small version of the round lotus blanket from Hooked by Robin which is my favorite lovey blanket pattern to work with. I think I went through 18 rows with this one.

Tiny Bear Cuddly

A tiny bear, just for snuggles.

This little guy was inspired by two things:

A. I did not have a lot of this variegated pastel yarn

B. I saw a little pattern from Yarn Society with a tiny bear and I thought it was just too cute.

Granted, my little guy did not turn out exactly like theirs, due to some impromptu adjustments to the pattern on my part. Their bear stands about 5 inches high, and I wanted mine to be a little bit bigger.

I basically used their pattern as something to base my own pattern on.

That pattern will be featured in the “Patterns” category of this blog. For now, enjoy a cute, tiny, cuddly bear!

Of course, he is for sale, so if you’d like to purchase him, head straight over to my Etsy shop! If someone else has snapped him up, have no fear – I can make you another one, although there may be some slight variation on the color of the yarn!

Too cute!
